Privacy Policy

Effective July 31, 2026 | Last updated July 31, 2026

Credence Risk Advisors Inc. ("Credence," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information obtained through credencera.com, our online forms, telephone and text communications, email, insurance quote and service activities, and related interactions. It also describes privacy choices that may be available to you.

This website policy supplements, but does not replace, any separate insurance or financial privacy notice that we may provide when required by federal or state law. Carrier, managing general agency, wholesaler, and platform privacy notices may also apply to information they receive.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on your interaction with us and the insurance product requested, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers and contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, and account or customer identifiers.
  • Insurance application and underwriting information, such as driver, vehicle, property, business, ownership, employee, loss-history, claims, prior-insurance, financial, and coverage information.
  • Sensitive information when reasonably necessary for an insurance transaction, which may include government-issued identification numbers, financial information, precise location, health-related information, or other information treated as sensitive under applicable law.
  • Commercial and transaction information, including quote requests, products considered, policies placed, billing or payment-related details, and customer-service history. Payment card information may be processed directly by a carrier or payment provider rather than stored by Credence.
  • Communications and consent records, including emails, telephone or text interactions, form submissions, opt-in records, opt-out requests, and customer-service notes.
  • Internet and device information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and website interaction data.
  • Professional or business information when you request commercial insurance, including business operations, industry, fleet, payroll, revenue, property, and risk-management information.
2. Sources of Information

We may obtain information directly from you; from household members, drivers, employees, business representatives, or authorized agents; from insurance carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and service providers; from consumer reporting agencies and insurance-support organizations as permitted by law; from government or public records; from referral or lead sources; and automatically through our website and communications systems.

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide insurance quotes, applications, placement, servicing, renewals, certificates, claims assistance, and related customer support.
  • Verify information, evaluate eligibility, obtain underwriting indications, prevent fraud, manage risk, and comply with carrier requirements.
  • Communicate by mail, email, telephone, or text about requested quotes, applications, policies, renewals, service matters, and—where permitted—products or promotions that may interest you.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve our website, services, advertising, and business operations.
  • Maintain records, enforce agreements, protect legal rights, respond to lawful requests, and comply with licensing, insurance, privacy, tax, accounting, sanctions, anti-fraud, and other legal obligations.
4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above to:

  • Insurance carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, brokers, program administrators, premium-finance companies, claims professionals, inspectors, and other insurance-market participants involved in quoting, underwriting, placing, financing, administering, or servicing coverage.
  • Technology and professional service providers, including EZLynx and providers of hosting, communications, analytics, cybersecurity, payment, accounting, legal, compliance, document, marketing, and customer-management services.
  • Consumer reporting agencies, motor-vehicle record providers, property and claims databases, and other insurance-support organizations, when authorized or permitted by law.
  • Government agencies, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or prevent fraud.
  • A buyer, successor, or other party involved in a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not disclose mobile telephone opt-in consent or text-message originator data to third parties for their independent marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers that help us deliver communications or perform services on our behalf, subject to appropriate restrictions.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website and service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, logs, or similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand usage, measure performance, prevent fraud, and evaluate marketing. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, although parts of the site may not work properly. If we engage in targeted advertising or a practice legally treated as a sale or sharing of personal data, we will provide any notice and opt-out method required by applicable law. Where applicable, we will process recognized universal opt-out preference signals as required by law.

6. Text Messages and Telephone Communications

If you provide your telephone number and consent to receive text messages, Credence may send messages concerning insurance inquiries, quotes, applications, policy service, renewals, reminders, and related marketing where permitted. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing insurance. You may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You may also contact us using the information below. We will process revocation requests as required by applicable law. Carriers and other parties may have separate communication consent practices.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining business and insurance records, meeting carrier and legal requirements, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by information type and applicable law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may ask to update your contact information, withdraw marketing consent, or submit a privacy request by emailing nyang@credencera.com. Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to Credence or the information, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, or delete personal data; obtain a portable copy; obtain information about certain third-party disclosures; or opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. Some information and processing may be exempt, including information regulated under insurance or financial privacy laws, and we may retain information when legally permitted or required.

We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where allowed by law. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" and an explanation. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for adults seeking insurance services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without legally valid authorization. Information about minors may be collected from a parent, guardian, applicant, or policyholder when necessary for an insurance transaction.

10. Third-Party Sites and Services

Our website may link to carrier portals, quote platforms, payment services, social media, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Credence is not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, vendors, products, or business practices. The revised Policy will be posted with an updated date. We will provide additional notice when legally required.
